All-Star Michael Ward
The 2010 All-Star Award was given to Michael Ward for his volunteer efforts. He has greatly enhanced the lives of a group of developmentally disabled individuals that live at Community Living in Toronto. The Enterline Foundation became aware of his efforts through a news article in Advisors and Source.
Michael started volunteering after a Detroit Tigers game in 2002 where he met a group of residents from Community Living Toronto. Since then, he has been taking them to various events. It is a great way for these very special people to have the opportunity to get out and experience an exciting event. Some of the trips are overnight and the residents enjoy the chance they get to not only watch a game, but also to stay in a hotel.
In recognition of his efforts, The Enterline Foundation awarded Michael with the All-Star Award which includes receiving a plaque and $1,000. Michael is going to use the money for their big 10th year anniversary outing with 25-30 residents from Community Living Toronto. They will be attending a Detroit Tiger game which includes an overnight trip.  We are excited to know that there are people like Michael in the community that are going above and beyond to help improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
